Dr. Stefan Rüll (*1956)

After my studies and my doctorate in Munich, I started my professional career in 1986 as defence attorney and attorney for commercial law in the Munich law firm Weinberger, Sottung, Ulsenheimer. In 1988 I switched to the audio-visual industry as general counsel and proxy holder of the Hamburg Polyphon Group with branches in Berlin and Munich. I supported Volker Schlöndorff as lawyer in the dawn of Studio Babelsberg before I became managing director at ROYAL Film Produktion, later named SENATOR Film; in Munich in 1993. With SENATOR I moved to Berlin. In 1996 I realized a wish of many years for free-lancing work as lawyer and opened my own law office.

Member of the Bar Association in Berlin (www.rak-berlin.de) and of the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers (www.iael.org), founding and board member of the association Mediation in den Medien - Mediation in the Media, Music & the Arts e.V. (www.mimma.de), sustaining member of Deutsche Filmakademie, lecturer at Deutsche Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin (www.dffb.de) and at Filmakademie Ludwigsburg (www.filmakademie.de), lecturer at European programmes for further training (i.e. EAVE, Equinoxe, Documentary Campus, founder and managing partner of the international "Collection Agency" OnTrust Inkasso- und Abrechnungsgesellschaft mbH in Berlin (www.on-trust.de).
